Randy is Licensed Master Barber, with an Instructor License. He has worked behind the chair, worked both in Public and Private Schools as an Instructor, worked as an Educator alongside International Barbers and currently utilizing his experience as a Director at Dapper Barber Academy.

Class A Barber

1,000 Clock Hours
30 Weeks Full-Time; 34 Hours per Week*
50 Weeks Part-Time; 20 Hours per Week*

Course Description:
The Class A Barber Program consists of 1,000 hours of instruction. The course includes a combination of theory classes, practical mannequin work, and actual hands on clientele practice. The program will ensure that basic skills to more advanced skills are gained, as individuals proceed through the course. The course also ensures that students are also trained and prepared in State Board licensing applications and evaluations

Cosmetology to Barber Crossover

300 Clock Hours
8 Weeks Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week
15 Weeks Part-Time, 20 Hours per Week
Course Description:
The Cosmetology to Barber Crossover Program consists of 300 hours of instruction. The course includes a combination of theory classes, practical mannequin work, and actual hands on clientele practice. The program will ensure that basic skills to more advanced skills are gained, as individuals proceed through the course. The course also ensures that students are also trained and prepared in State Board licensing applications and evaluations.

For admission to Dapper Barber Academy, applicants for all programs must meet the following requirements:

Be 16 years of age or older; and

Have a high school diploma or the equivalent.

For the Cosmetology to Barber Crossover program, applicants must have a current Cosmetology License.

Provide a copy of the high school diploma, transcript or the equivalent (i.e., GED). or have a home school certificate/transcript from a home study program equivalent to high school level that is recognized by the student's home state . Dapper Barber Academy only accepts standard, verifiable high school diplomas.

Should an enrolling student provide a foreign high school diploma, we will work with the student to obtain an English translation along with confirmation that the education received is equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma. This documentation must come from an outside agency and the prospective student is responsible for paying all fees associated with translation and verification, as well as ensuring that the results are submitted to Dapper Barber Academy.

Provide two identical 2" X 2" pictures - one of which is kept in the student permit book and one of which is attached to the student permit displayed at the work station.

Provide a copy of a government issued photo ID and Social Security Card (if applicable).

Provide a copy of a current Cosmetology License, if enrolling in the Cosmetology to Barber Crossover program.
